On a recent travel to the midwest to see family, I decided to stop and check out a recommended tourist site from some friends of ours. Located in the artsy downtown district of Paducah, Ky sits the National Quilt Museum. This museum hosts around 150 of the most amazing quilts ever produced. The stitching and labor put forth in each quilt is simply remarkable; many of the quilts look more like oil and acrylic paintings rather than cloth material and thread. In addition to their wide selection of featured quilts, they have a beautiful selection of stained glass resembling quilt patterns on display, a gift shop area and the opportunity to take quilt workshops on site.
